Admission starts at 6:00pm on Friday evening.
The event (tournaments and prize winnings) ends at 5:00pm on Sunday afternoon. However, due to unpredictable delays, it is possible that activities end later than the anticipated time.
A chair is provided with each space. However, it is permitted to bring one’s own chair for personal comfort.
During registration, seat reservation can be made using the floor plan. A seat is therefore allocated to each paying participant.
Upon arrival, participants will find their assigned seat equipped with a network cable allowing access to the Lan ETS internal network as well as the Internet network.
Each seat is equipped with one and only one electrical outlet. Consequently, it is essential to bring a powerbar in order to plug in computer, screen and any accessories.
Game servers for tournaments, public games servers and video game consoles will be available during the entirety of the event.
The school’s gyms will be converted into dorms for both nights. It is permitted to bring sleeping bags, sleeping mats and pillows. Note that dorms are not coed, boys and girls will be separated into two dormitories.
Access to change rooms for showering will be authorized in accordance with a specific schedule during the event. The timetable will vary in conformance with age groups and sex.
Do not forget screen, mouse, keyboard AND power cord.
Since each seat has only access to one outlet, it is essential to bring a powerbar in order to plug in computer, screen and any other accessories.
With roughly 500 participants, speakers are, by all means, forbidden. It is therefore important to bring headphones.
Dormitories will be available for both nights of the event. It is encouraged to bring sleeping bags, sleeping mats and pillows. Participants are permitted (although not advised) to sleep at their reserved place provided that they remain in their seat. It is forbidden by fire safety regulation to sleep on the ground or under tables. Participants who do not cooperate will be asked to move.
Meals are not included. However, during the day, surrounding restaurants and grocery stores are open. A small cafeteria will be open during the night.
Parental authorization for all minors (under the age of 18) is required for access to the event. Participants without authorization will not be allowed in
(Parental authorization).
Alcohol consumption and illicit substances on school grounds (ÉTS) is forbidden at all times. Any violation will result in immediate expulsion from the event without reimbursement
(See rules).
Due to space concerns and security measures, coolers are not permitted on site.
Due to power usage limitations, power hungry equipment such as fans is not permitted although chargers (cell phones and cameras) are authorized.
A team of volunteers working all weekend in close collaboration with ÉTS security agents is assembled to ensure both equipment and site security. Entrances and exits will be under surveillance at all times and equipment will be not be allowed out without verification.
Participants are encouraged to be cautious by bringing a bag in which to store valuable personal belongings (aside from computer and screen) during extended leave.
It is important to remember that despite of all security measures, Lan ETS and l’École de technologie supérieure (ETS) will not held responsible for any lost or broken equipment
(See rules).
